[(6)] (7) Wicomico County—Five Dollars per day for
every day devoted to the duties of the Board, but not
exceeding Five Hundred Dollars per annum, and in addi-
tion thereto a salary of Two Hundred Dollars per annum
for the Chairman of the Board.
[(7)] (8) Worcester County—One Thousand Dollars
per annum, with a mileage fee of five cents per mile when
in attendance upon meetings.
152. (County Dispensaries. ) (a) (Authorized. ) The
said Liquor Control Boards shall have full power and
authority to establish and maintain stores to be known as
"County Liquor Dispensaries", for the sale of any spark-
ling or fortified wine and any other alcoholic beverages
containing more than fourteen per centum of alcohol by
volume, in sealed packages or containers, which packages
or containers shall not be opened nor their contents con-
sumed upon the premises where sold. Provided, that in
Harford County they may sell any such alcoholic bever-
ages containing more than ten per centum of alcohol by
volume; in Montgomery County they may sell any alco-
holic beverages; and in Caroline, Kent, Queen Anne's and
Somerset Counties they may sell any alcoholic beverages
except beer.
156. (a-1) (Caroline County. ) All net profits arising
from the operation of the dispensary or dispensaries in
Caroline County shall be first applied to the payment of
any and all sums advanced to or borrowed by Liquor
Control Board. After such sums have been paid, the said
Board shall be authorized to create and maintain a reserve
fund not to exceed $25, 000. 00 to provide adequate working
capital and to meet any losses that may be sustained by
the Board in the operation of such dispensaries. All net
profits in excess of the above shall belong to and be paid
over to the County Commissioners of Caroline County on
or before June 1 in each and every year.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this
Act shall become effective until the provisions of this Act
have been submitted in the manner provided herein for
adoption or rejection by the qualified voters of Caroline
County. On the third Tuesday in May, 1953, this Act shall
be submitted on referendum to the legal and qualified
voters of Caroline County. The Supervisors of Elections
shall cause to be printed on the official ballots to be used
at said election the title of this Act and underneath said
title a set of squares or boxes in which the voters shall be
