Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil County",
sub-title "County Commissioners", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
131. [He] The Clerk to the County Commissioners is
authorized and empowered to administer an oath or affirma-
tion to any person filing in the office of the County Com-
missioners a claim against the county, or other paper TO
which an affidavit may be required by law, or by order of
the Commissioners to any persons who are to be examined
as witnesses in any matter before the Commissioners, and
in all other cases in which he may be required, in the dis-
charge of his duties as clerk to the Commissioners, to
administer an oath or affirmation; and for such additional
service, no additional compensation shall be allowed said
clerk.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

(Senate Bill 77)
AN ACT to repeal Section 166A of Article 8 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Cecil County", sub-title "Election Districts", as said
section was enacted by Chapter 547 of the Acts of 1937,
said section redefining the Third and Fourth Election
Districts of Cecil County.
WHEREAS, by Chapter 547 of the Acts of 1937, the Third
and Fourth Election Districts of Cecil County were rede-
fined; and
WHEREAS, the effectiveness of this Act was made con-
tingent upon its being approved by a referendum by the
voters of Cecil County at the General Election in Novem-
ber, 1938; and
