section to be known as Section 109B of said Article and
to follow immediately after Section 109A thereof, au-
thorizing the County Commissioners of Charles County
to pay to the Benedict Volunteer Fire Department and
the Tenth District Volunteer Fire Department the sum
of $1, 500. 00 annually out of general funds.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added
to Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Charles County", sub-title "Fire
Companies", said new section to be known as Section 109B
of said Article and to follow immediately after Section
109A thereof, and to read as follows:
109B. The County Commissioners of Charles County
are authorized to pay annually to the Benedict Volunteer
Fire Department and the Tenth District. Volunteer Fire
Department for the support, maintenance, equipment and
operation of said Volunteer Fire Departments the sum of
$1, 500. 00 each out of monies in the general fund of Charles
County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

(Senate Bill 51)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
131 of Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil County", sub-title
"County Commissioners", clarifying the provisions of
said section in the reference to the Clerk to the County
Commissioners of Cecil County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
