SISTANTS, THE TRIAL MAGISTRATES SHALL
DIRECT AND SUPERVISE THE SERVICES TO BE
RENDERED BY SAID ASSISTANTS. IN ANNE ARUN-
DEL COUNTY THE CLERKS SHALL ALSO ACT AS
FILING CLERKS FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
WITH RESPECT TO ALL CIVIL PROCEEDINGS AND
SHALL RECEIVE SUCH COMPENSATION AS MAY
BE PROVIDED BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
BUT NOT LESS THAN EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS
($800) NOR MORE THAN FIFTEEN HUNDRED DOL-
LARS ($1, 500) PER YEAR. IN KENT COUNTY, THE
CLERK TO THE TRIAL MAGISTRATE OF SAID
COUNTY SHALL RECEIVE A SALARY OF TEN HUN-
DRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($1, 050) PER YEAR,
PAYABLE IN EQUAL MONTHLY INSTALLMENTS.
111 (B-1). IN ALLEGANY COUNTY, THE SUBSTI-
TUTE TRIAL MAGISTRATE SHALL RECEIVE A
SALARY OF FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500) PER
YEAR.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported
by three-fifths of all of the members elected to each of the
two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

(Senate Bill 431)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
427 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "Health", sub-title "Water and
Sewer Authorities", providing that the provisions of this
sub-title shall apply to the Eighth Election District of
Anne Arundel County and the Brandywine and Piscat-
away Districts of Prince George's County.
