town and one at Flintstone. The Trial Magistrates at
Cumberland shall each receive an annual salary of not
less than [$3, 600. 00] $3, 900. 00. The Trial Magistrates at
Frostburg shall each receive an annual salary of not less
than [$2, 100. 00] $2, 400. 00. The Trial Magistrate at Cre-
saptown shall receive an annual salary of not less than
[$840. 00] $1, 200. 00. The Trial Magistrate at a Western-
port, Lonaconing, Mt. Savage, Midland, and Barton shall

each receive an annual salary of not less than [$840. 00]

$1, 200. 00. The Trial Magistrates at Oldtown and Flint-

stone shall each receive an annual salary of not less than

[$400. 00] $600. 00. THE TRIAL MAGISTRATES AT THE
FOLLOWING LOCALITIES SHALL RECEIVE AN AN-
NUAL SALARY OF NOT LESS THAN THAT HEREIN-
AFTER SPECIFIED: LONACONING, $1, 200. 00; FLINT-
STONE, $600. 00; WESTERNPORT, $1, 500. 00; MOUNT
SAVAGE, $900. 00; MIDLAND, $900. 00; BARTON,
$840. 00; OLDTOWN, $400. 00. All of which said salaries
hereinbefore provided shall be paid by the County Com-
missioners, said salaries shall be in addition to any sal-
aries now paid or hereafter to be paid, any of the Trial
Magistrates by any of the incorporated cities and towns in
Allegany County, but the County Commissioners may, in
their discretion, increase the compensation paid to the
Trial Magistrates in Allegany County.

At least one of the Trial Magistrates at Cumberland
and Frostburg shall be present in his court room for the
trial of cases from 9 A. M. to 4 P. M. each day except
Sundays, the afternoon of Saturday and legal holidays,
and shall be present at such other times as the said Magis-
trates may decide upon, and as may be consistent with
the public business.

104. (CLERKS. ) THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
SHALL PROVIDE SUCH CLERICAL ASSISTANCE,
AND PAY SUCH COMPENSATION THEREFOR, AS
SAID COMMISSIONERS MAY DEEM REASONABLY
NECESSARY FOR ANY TRIAL MAGISTRATE. THE
APPOINTMENT OF CLERICAL ASSISTANTS SHALL
BE MADE BY -THE TRIAL MAGISTRATE TO BE
THUS SERVED, WHEN PROVISION THEREFOR IS
MADE BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS; EXCEPT
THAT IN MONTGOMERY, ALLEGANY, BALTIMORE,
CARROLL AND PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTIES SUCH
CLERICAL ASSISTANTS SHALL BE APPOINTED BY
THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF SAID COUNTIES.
