ATELY PRIOR TO JUNE 1, 1953, SHALL BE IN-
CLUDED AMONG THE APPOINTEES AS PROVIDED
IN THIS SECTION FOR A PERIOD OF YEARS RE-
SPECTIVELY EQUAL TO THE UNEXPIRED POR-
TIONS OF THE TERMS THEY ARE THEN SERV-
ING. AS OF THE FIRST MONDAY IN MAY IN EACH
YEAR AFTER 1953, THE GOVERNOR SHALL AP-
POINT A PERSON OR PERSONS TO FILL THE
VACANCIES THEN EXPIRED. EXCEPT AS IN THIS
SECTION SPECIFIED, THE PROVISIONS OF SEC-
TION 6 HEREINABOVE SHALL CONTINUE TO
APPLY TO THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF PRINCE
GEORGE'S COUNTY.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
40 (g-a) of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1951 Edition), title "Attorneys at Law and Attor-
neys in Fact", sub-title "State's Attorney", granting an
appropriation for special work to the State's Attorney
of Cecil County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 40 (g-a) of Article 10 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Attorneys at Law and
Attorneys in Fact", sub-title "State's Attorney", be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:
40.
(g-a) The State's Attorney of Cecil County shall receive
an annual salary of $4, 000. The State's Attorney of Cecil
