Calvert County, Maryland, for the purposes of constructing
a new hospital in said county, but it was found that said
appropriation was inadequate because of increased con-
struction costs to provide the facilities contemplated by the
Act; and
WHEREAS, it was necessary in order to complete said
project that the sum of $110, 000. 00 be borrowed therefor;
and
WHEREAS, it is the sense of the General Assembly that
the mortgage securing said loan should be liquidated a§
hereinafter provided; AND ALSO THAT ADDITIONAL
PROVISION BE MADE FOR OTHER PAYMENTS TO
THE SAID HOSPITAL; and
WHEREAS, any surplus realized after such disbursements
could well be applied to construction by the County Com-
missioners of Calvert County of the Calvert County Health
Center; now therefore TO THE PAYMENT OF A CER-
TAIN DEFICIT IN THE OPERATING REVENUES OF
THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF CALVERT COUNTY
FOR A PERIOD OF FIVE YEARS AND THEREAFTER
SHOULD BE APPLIED TO THE GENERAL FUNDS
OF CALVERT COUNTY; NOW THEREFORE
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 177A of Article 5 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Calvert County",
sub-title "Licenses", as said section was enacted by Chap-
ter 184 of 1951, BE REPEALED AND RE-ENACTED,
WITH AMENDMENTS, and to read as follows:
177A. (a). [The Clerk of the Court shall on or before
the 10th day of each month pay to the Treasurer of the
Calvert County Hospital of Calvert County, Maryland, or
to such other person as the Board of Directors thereof may
designate, all of the license fees received by him under
the provisions of this sub-title until the amounts so paid
under the provisions of Chapter 13 of the Acts of the
Extraordinary Session of 1948 and under this sub-title
equal the sum of Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300, -
000. 00). Said funds shall be used by the said Board of
Directors for the acquisition of property for the construc-
tion, equipment, and operation of a new hospital for the
use of the people of Calvert County or for the moderniza-
tion, enlargement, equipment and operation of the present
hospital at Prince Frederick, Calvert County, Maryland,
and for the redemption of and payment of interest at a
