Vehicles, " sub-title "Operation of Vehicles Upon High-
ways, " said new section to be known as Section 261A and
to follow immediately after Section 261 thereof, prohibit-
ing display of the State Seal or Emblem on license plates
MOTOR VEHICLES, except by officials of the State.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition), title "Motor Vehicles, " sub-title "Operation of
Vehicles Upon Highways, " said new section to be known as
Section 261A, to follow immediately after Section 261
thereof, and to read as follows:
261A. It shall be unlawful for any person to display
IN ANY MANNER upon a motor vehicle license plate
the Great Seal or Emblem of the State of Maryland, OR
ANY FACSIMILE THEREOF, in any form, unless such
person is the Governor, the State Comptroller, the Attorney
General, the Treasurer, the Secretary of State of OR the
Head of a State Department or an elected State Official.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 298, 333, 334, 335, 336, 337
and 462 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Anne
Arundel County (1947 Edition, being Article 2 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Anne
Arundel County", sub-titles "Eastport", "Friendship",
"Galesville", and "Roads", removing from said Code
obsolete provisions relating to the former town of East-
port, regulation of geese and swine running at large in
the village of Friendship, live stock running at large or
upon the public roads of the village of Galesville and the
maintenance of roads in the former town of Eastport.
