Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title "County Commis-
sioners", said new section to be known as Section 259A,
to follow immediately after Section 259 of said Code, pro-
viding for annual payments to the Annapolis Chamber
of Commerce, THE ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY
TRADE COUNCIL and the Glen Burnie Chamber of
Commerce.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
the Code of Public Local Laws of Anne Arundel County
(1947 Edition), being Article 2 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel County",
sub-title "County Commissioners", said new section to be
known as Section 259A, to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 259 of said Code and to read as follows:

259A. The County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County are hereby authorized and directed to pay annually
to the Annapolis Chamber of Commerce, THE ANNE
ARUNDEL COUNTY TRADE COUNCIL and the Glen
Burnie Chamber of Commerce each, an amount of money
equal to the total membership dues or assessments due and
payable to said organization for the current year, pro-
viding that no payment shall be in excess of Three Thou-
sand HUNDRED Dollars ($3, 000. 00) ($300. 00), provided
further that no such payment shall be made to any organiza-
tion which has less than one hundred active, dues-paying
members. Said payments shall be used by these organiza-
tions for the promotion of the general welfare of Anne
Arundel County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.
