County, the following oath: "I,..................... do swear that
as Clerk (or assistant clerk) to the County Commissioners
of Anne Arundel County, I will honestly and faithfully, to
the best of my skill and judgment, execute the duties of
said office without favor, affection, partiality or prejudice,
so help me God. "
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted^ That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1953.

CHAPTER 532
(House Bill 652)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-
section (c) of Section 40 of Article 10 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Attorneys at
Law and Attorneys in Fact", sub-title "State's Attor-
ney", and to add a new sub-section to said section, said
new sub-section to be known as Sub-section (e-a) and
to follow immediately after Sub-section (e) of said sec-
tion, relating to the compensation of the State's Attorney
of Howard County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sub-section (c) of Section 40 of Article 10
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title
"Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in Fact", sub-title
"State's Attorney", be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments; that a new sub-section be and
it is hereby added to said section, said new sub-section to
be known as Sub-section (e-a) and to follow immediately
after Sub-section (e) of said section, and all to read as
follows:

(c) The State's Attorneys of Calvert and Charles [and
Howard] Counties shall receive an annual salary of $2, 000.
