CHAPTER 10
(Senate Bill 7)

AN ACT to repeal Section 343 of Article 27 of the An-
notated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Crimes
and Punishments", sub-title "Health — Milk — Pure —
Skimmed", and to enact in lieu thereof a new Section 343,
to stand in the place and stead of the section so repealed,
providing for the sale of condensed milk, condensed
skimmed milk and dry milk solids under certain condi-
tions and establishing penalties for violations.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 343 of Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Crimes and Pun-
ishments", sub-title "Health—Milk—Pure—Skimmed" be
and it is hereby repealed and that a new Section 343 be and
it is hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to stand in the place
and stead of the section so repealed and to read as follows:

343. For the purposes of this section "condensed milk"
includes sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk
and shall be manufactured from pure and wholesome milk,
and shall contain not less than 7.9 percent of milk fat and
25.9 percent of total milk solids.
