To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
210 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a Special Referendum
election held in the City of Glen Burnie, Anne Arundel
County, Maryland, on September 15, 1953, an Act known as
Chapter 723 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land of 1953 was submitted to the voters of Glen Burnie,
Anne Arundel County, Maryland, for their adoption or re-
jection under the provisions of Chapter 723 of the Acts of
1953, said Act being:
"An Act to add Sections 341-1 to 341-80 inclusive, to
the Code of Anne Arundel County (1947 Edition),
incorporating the City of Glen Burnie and relating
generally to the government thereof".
AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 451 votes were
cast in favor of the adoption of Chapter 723 and 1380 votes
were cast against the adoption of the said Chapter 723, and
a majority of the votes being cast against the adoption of
the said Act, the same has, therefore, been rejected by the
voters of Glen Burnie and has failed of ratification.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
