To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
210 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at an election held in the
Town of Riverdale, Prince George's County, Maryland, on
September 14, 1953, an Act known as Chapter 663 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1953 was sub-
mitted to the voters of the Town of Riverdale, Prince
George's County, Maryland, for their adoption or rejection
under the provisions of Chapter 663 of the Acts of 1953,
said Act being:

"An Act to annex a tract of land to the Town of River-
dale, in Prince George's County."

AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 28 votes were
cast against the adoption of Chapter 663 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1953 and no votes were cast in favor
of the adoption of the said Act, and a majority of the votes
being cast against the adoption of said Chapter 663 of the
Acts of 1953 the said Act has, therefore, failed of ratification.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
