To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF .THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
210 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at the regular Municipal
Election held in the City of Havre de Grace, Harford County,
Maryland, on May 4, 1953, an Act known as Chapter 507 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1953 was
submitted to the voters of the City of Havre de Grace, Har-
ford County, Maryland, for their adoption or rejection under
the provisions of Chapter 507 of the Acts of 1953, said Act
being:

"An Act to add Section 597A to Art. 27 of the Code,
permitting Sunday movies in Havre de Grace, under
certain conditions".

AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 1178 votes were
cast in favor of the adoption of Chapter 507 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of 1953 and 521 votes were cast
against the adoption of the said Act, and a majority of the
votes being cast for the adoption of said Chapter 507 of the
Acts of 1953, the said Act has, therefore, been ratified by the
voters of the City of Havre de Grace, Harford County,
Maryland.
