To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
210 of Article 33 of the Code of Maryland (1951 Edition)
DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a Special Election held on Mon-
day, June 22, 1953, in the Town of Upper Marlboro, Prince
George's County, Maryland, an Act known as Chapter 483 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of 1953 was submitted to
the voters of the Town of Upper Marlboro, for their adoption
or rejection, under the provision of Chapter 483 of the Acts
of 1953, said Act being:
"An Act to amend Sec. 1391 of the Code of Prince
George's County (1943 Ed.) providing for the quali-
fications of the voters in elections held in the Town
of Upper Marlboro".
AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 43 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 483 of the Acts of 1953
and 16 votes were cast against the adoption of the said Act;
and a majority of the votes being cast in favor of the adop-
tion of Chapter 483, the same has, therefore, been ratified
by the voters of the Town of Upper Marlboro, Prince
George's County, Maryland.
