1953, Ch. 512—Anne Arundel County

EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT

ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND

OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE

To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, JOHN R/REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
210 of Article 33 of the Code of Maryland (1951 Edition)
BO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a Special Referendum held in
the Eighth Election District of Anne Arundel County, Mary-
land, on Thursday, June 18, 1953, an Act known as Chapter
512 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of
1953 was submitted to the voters of the Eighth Election Dis-
trict of Anne Arundel County, for their adoption or rejec-
tion, under the provision of Chapter 512 of the Acts of 1953,
said Act being:

"An Act to add a new sub-section to Section 28 of Ar-
ticle 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition), title 'Alcoholic Beverages', sub-title 'Local
Licenses and License Provision', said new sub-section
to be known as Sub-section (g) and to follow im-
mediately after Sub-section (f) of said Section 28,
providing for a license in the Eighth Election District
of Anne Arundel County for the sale of alcoholic
beverages at any bona fide yacht club which meets
certain specifications."

AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 310 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 512 of the Acts of 1953
and 236 votes were cast against the adoption of the said
Chapter 512 of the Acts of 1953, and a majority of the votes
being cast in favor of the adoption of the said Act, the same
has, therefore, been ratified by the voters of the Eighth
Election District of Anne Arundel County.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
scribed my name and affixed hereto my
(Secretary of Official Seal at the City of Annapolis, this
State's Seal) 23rd day of June, 1953.
