To the Clerk o f the Court of Appeals:
I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
210 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a Special Referendum
Election held in the Town of Queenstown, Queen Anne's
County, Maryland, on Monday, April 27,1953, an Act known
as Chapter 449 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1953 was submitted to the voters of the Town
of Queenstown, Queen Anne's County, for their adoption or
rejection under the provisions of Chapter 449 of the Acts
of 1953, said Act being as follows:
"An Act to add a new section to Article 27 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition) said new sec-
tion to be known as Section 610C, to follow immedi-
ately after Section 61 OB of said Article, authorizing
the exhibition of motion pictures within the corporate
limits of Queenstown, on Sundays, after 2 P. M. and
8:30 P. M. on alternate Sundays".
AND I DO CERTIFY, That at such election 86 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 449 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1953 and 9 votes were cast against the
adoption of the said Chapter 449, and a majority of the votes
being cast in favor of the adoption of the said Act, the
same has, therefore, been ratified by the voters of the Town
vof Queenstown, Queen Anne's County.
