To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
210 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That an Act known as Chapter
465 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of
1953, was to be submitted to the voters of the Town of
Fairmount Heights, Prince George's County, Maryland, for
their adoption or rejection under the provisions of Chapter
465 of the Acts of 1953, said Act being as follows:

"An Act to amend Sec. 588 of the Code of Prince
George's County (1943 Edition), as said section was
amended by Chapter 329 of 1945, increasing the
taxing powers of the Mayor and Common Council of
Fairmount Heights and eliminating provision for
maintenance of the Fire Department."

AND I DO CERTIFY, That no election was held in the Town
of Fairmount Heights, Prince George's County, Maryland,
as required by Chapter 465 of the Acts of the General As-
sembly of 1953, and the said Act has, therefore, not been
ratified.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
