To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
210 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at an election held in the
Town of Church Hill, Queen Anne's County, Maryland,
Tuesday, May 12,1953, an Act known as Chapter 443 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of 1953, was submitted to the
voters of the Town of Church Hill, Queen Anne's County,
for their adoption or rejection under the provisions of
Chapter 443 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1953,
said Act being as follows:
"An Act to amend Section 610A of Art. 27 of the Code
to authorize the exhibition of motion pictures within
the town of Church Hill after the hour of 2 p.m. on
Sundays".
AND I DO CERTIFY, That at such election 44 votes were
cast in favor of the adoption of Chapter 443 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of 1953 and 36 votes were cast
against the adoption of the said Act, and a majority of the
votes being cast in favor of the adoption of Chapter 443 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of 1953, the same has,
therefore, been ratified by the voters of the Town of Church
Hill, Queen Anne's County.
