To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
210 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a Special Referendum
Election held in Prince George's County, Maryland, on
Monday, October 5, 1953, an Act known as Chapter 432 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1953 was
submitted to the voters of the 1st and 2nd precincts of the
13th Election District of Prince George's County, Maryland,
for their adoption or rejection under the provisions of
Chapter 432 of the Acts of 1953, said Act being as follows:
"An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 605A of the Prince George's County Code (1943
Edition), being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title 'Prince George's County',
sub-title Tire Companies', as said section was
amended by Chapter 487 of the Acts of 1951 and to
add a new sub-section to Section 605B of said Code,
said new sub-section to be known as Sub-section (j)
and to follow immediately after Sub-section (i) of
said section, adding the thirteenth election district
and certain fire companies to the provision of said
section and providing for a referendum thereon".
AND I DO CERTIFY, That at such election 194 votes were
cast in favor of the adoption of Chapter 432 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of 1953 and 56 votes were cast
against the adoption of the said Chapter 432, and a majority
of the votes being cast in favor of the adoption of the said
Act, the same has, therefore, been ratified by the voters of
Prince George's County from the 1st and 2nd precincts of
the 13th Election District.
