To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
210 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a Special Referendum
Election held in the Town of Forest Heights, Prince George's
County, Maryland, on Wednesday, May 13, 1953, an Act
known as Chapter 389 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland of 1953 was submitted to the voters of the Town
of Forest^ Heights, Prince George's County, Maryland, for
their adoption or rejection under the provisions of Chapter
389 of the Acts of 1953, said Act being as follows:

"An Act to amend Sec. 20 of Chapter 142 of the Acts of
1949, authorizing the Mayor and Town Council of
Forest Heights to borrow up to $50,000 for construc-
tion and equipment of a County Building".

AND I DO CERTIFY, That at such election 144 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 389 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1953 and 79 votes were cast against
the adoption of said Chapter 389, and a majority of the
votes being cast in favor of the adoption of the said Act, the
same has, therefore, been ratified by the voters of the Town
of Forest Heights, Prince George's County.
