322 CERTIFICATES OF REFERENDA

1953, Ch. 326—Annapolis

EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT

ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND

OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE

To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
210 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at an election held in the
City of Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, May
19, 1953, an Act known as Chapter 326 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland of 1953, was submitted to the
voters of Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, for
their adoption or rejection under the provisions of Chapter
326 of the Acts of 1953, said Act being:

"An Act to add four new sections to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Anne Arundel County, (1947 Edition)
being Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, said new sections to be known as Sections
78A, 78B, 78C and 78D, to be under a new sub-title
"Board of Recreation and Parks", and to follow
immediately after Section 78 of said Code providing
for a Board of Recreation and Parks, relating to the
duties and power of said Board and authorizing the
Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis, to levy
a special Park Fund tax".

AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 1,431 votes were
cast in favor of the adoption of Chapter 326 of the Acts of
1953, and 1,222 votes were cast against the adoption of the
said Act, and a majority of the votes being cast in favor of
the adoption of said Chapter 326 of the Acts of 1953, the
same has therefore been ratified by the voters of the City of
Annapolis.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
scribed my name and affixed my Official
(Secretary of Seal at the City of Annapolis, this 6th day
State's Seal) of October, 1953.
