To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OP
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
210 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at an election held in the
Town of District Heights, Prince George's County, Mary-
land, on June 1, 1953, an Act known as Chapter 314 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1953 was sub-
mitted to the voters of the Town of District Heights, Prince
George's County, Maryland, for the adoption or rejection
under the provisions of Chapter 314 of the Acts of 1953,
said Act being:

"An Act to establish wards in the Town of District
Heights and providing for a Commission to consist
of five members".

AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 128 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 314 of the Acts of 1953
and 19 votes were cast against the adoption of the said Act,
and a majority of the votes being cast for the adoption of
said Chapter 314 of the Acts of 1953, the said Act, has, there-
for been ratified by the voters of the Town of District
Heights, Prince George's County, Maryland.
