To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
210 of-Article 33 of the Code of Maryland (1951 Edition)
DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at an Election held in the Town of
Morningside, Prince George's County, Maryland, on May 25,
1953, an Act known as Chapter 88 of the Acts of the General
Assembly *of Maryland of 1953, was submitted to the voters
of the Town of Morningside, Prince George's County, Mary-
land, for their adoption or rejection, under the provisions of
Chapter 88 of the Acts of 1953, said Act being:

"An Act to extend the limits of Upper Morningside,
Prince George's County, Maryland".

AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 6 votes were cast in
favor of the adoption of Chapter 88 of the Acts of 1953, and
9 votes were cast against the adoption of the said Act; and
a majority being cast against the adoption of said Chapter 88
of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1953, the Act has,
therefore, failed of ratification.
