services as shall be fixed by the State Department of
Forestry. Forest Wardens thus appointed shall before
entering upon the duties of their office take the proper
official oath before the Clerk of the Court of the County
in which they reside, after which they shall while hold-
ing said office, possess and exercise all the authority and
power held and exercised by constables at common law
under the statutes of this State, so far as arresting and
and prosecuting persons for all violations of any of the
forest laws or of the laws, rules and regulations enacted
or to be enacted for the protection of the State forestry
reservations, or for the protection of the fish and game
contained therein are concerned.
(b) In addition to the powers possessed by Forest War-
dens as specified in sub-section (a) hereof and other pro-
visions of this Act the Forest Wardens assigned to work
in Patapsco State Forest shall possess and exercise the
powers of peace officers to arrest and prosecute persons
for violating the laws of the State, both Public General
and Public Local within the boundaries of said Patapsco
State Forest, and on the properties bordering thereon. The
Forest Wardens assigned to Patapsco State Forest shall
be provided with uniforms. and firearms.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.

AN ACT to repeal Chapter 13 of the Acts of the Regular
Session of 1950, said Act adding a new Article 89C to the
Annotated Code of Maryland, under the title "Support
of Dependents"; to add a new Article to the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition and 1947 Supplement),
said new Article to be known as Article 89C, to be under
the title "Support of Dependents, " and to stand in the
place and stead of the Article so repealed, authorizing
