AN ACT to repeal Sections 125-138, inclusive, 140, 141, 143, 146,
149-154, inclusive, 159, 160, 161 and 162 of Article 6 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Caroline County", sub-title "Denton", and to enact twenty-
five new sections in lieu thereof to be known as Sections 125-
138, inclusive, 140, 141, 143, 146, 149, 151-153, inclusive, 159
and 162, revising generally the Charter of the Town of Den-
ton in Caroline County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 125-138, inclusive, 140, 141, 143, 146, 149-
154, inclusive, 159, 160, 161 and 162 of Article 6 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition) title "Caroline
County", sub-title "Denton", be and they are hereby repealed,
and that 25 new sections be and they are hereby enacted in
lieu thereof, to be known as Sections 125-138, inclusive, 140,
141, 143, 146, 149, 151-153, inclusive, 159 and 162 and all to
read as follows:
125. The inhabitants of Denton are hereby declared to be a
body corporate, by the name of "The Commissioners of Den-
ton", and by that name shall have perpetual succession, may
sue and be sued, have and use a common seal, which may be
altered at pleasure, and have and possess all usual powers inci-
dent to municipal corporations, including the power of con-
demnation of property for any corporate use, and the power
to acquire property by purchase or otherwise, and to dispose
of any property possessed by it, real or personal, as the Com-
missioners shall think wise and to convey by the usual forms of
conveyance.
126. (a) The limits of said corporation shall be as follows:
Beginning for the same at a point at the mouth of Saulsbury's
Branch at the northwest corner of the limits of said Town as
shown on a plat of the same recorded among the Land Records
of Caroline County in Liber J. K. S. No. 75 Folio 187, and run-
ning thence westerly, parallel to the railroad, to the navigable
channel of the Choptank River; thence down the Choptank
River with the navigable channel thereof, to a point in said
navigable channel opposite the mouth of a branch shown
