feet east of the railroad crossing; thence south ten degrees and
fifty minutes, east fifty-one and six-tenths feet to a stone in
the northwest corner of Briscoe's Woods; thence south forty-
seven degrees and fifty-two minutes, west two thousand and
ten and four-tenths feet to a stone at the northeast corner of
Briscoe's meadow and on the west side of public road; thence
south sixty-two degrees and fifty-two minutes, west seven
hundred and forty-one feet to a stone at the foot of the slope
on the north side of railroad one hundred and forty-one feet
east of railroad culvert; thence north forty-four degrees and
thirty-three minutes, west nine hundred and seventy-seven feet
to a stone on the east side of the public road leading to
Earner's corner, one foot inside of fence; thence north eighty-
five degrees and twenty-two minutes, west three hundred and
nine and two-tenths feet to a stone in William Brown's
meadow, seventy-seven feet southwest of slaughter house; and
thence north one degree, east nine hundred and seventy-nine
and five-tenths feet to the stone and place of beginning; and
the property within said limits shall be subject to such taxes
and assessments as may be deemed necessary by said Commis-
sioners, to support and maintain the expenses that may be in-
curred in the improvement of said village.

(b) The Commissioners are empowered to extend the cor-
porate bounds of the town by ordinance,
FOR A RADIUS OF
ONE-QUARTER MILE IN EVERY DIRECTION BEYOND
THE BOUNDARIES AS SPECIFIED HEREINABOVE IN
THIS SECTION, OR ANY PORTION THEREOF. All the
inhabitants of any territory annexed or added under the au-
thority of this sub-section shall in all respects be subject to
the powers, jurisdiction and authority now vested or hereafter
vested by law in the Commissioners of the town. All of the
ordinances and laws of the town shall be extended and made
applicable to any territory annexed or added by said Commis-
sioners and all property, real and personal, in said territory
shall be subject to assessment, levy and taxation to the same
extent as other similar property with the present boundaries
of said town.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.
