SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.

(House Bill 408)

AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 179 of Article 81
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title
"Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "State Tax Commission", said
new sub-section to be known as Sub-section (g) and to follow
immediately after Sub-section (f) of said Section 179, as
said Section 179 was amended by Chapter 64 of the Acts of
the Special Session of 1948, providing that the County Com-
missioners of Baltimore County may levy and pay an addi-
tional amount as compensation to the Supervisor of Assess-
ments therein.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added to Sec-
tion 179 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1947 Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "State
Tax Commission", said new sub-section to be known as Sub-
section (g) and to follow immediately after Sub-section (f)
of said Section 179, as said Section 179 was amended by Chap-
ter 64 of the Acts of the Special Session of 1948, and to read
as follows:

179.

(g) The County Commissioners of Baltimore County may
levy and pay such additional sum in excess of $5, 000. 00 to the
Supervisor of Assessments of said County as in their discretion
they shall determine; provided, however, that the portion of
said salary to be paid by the State shall be limited to the
amount prescribed in the schedules hereinbefore set forth.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.
