WITH POWER AND AUTHORITY TO PROVIDE FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION OF A COUNTY HEALTH CEN-
TER AT CHESTERTOWN, THE COST OF WHICH
SHALL BE PAID OUT OF THE PROCEEDS OF THE
SALE OF THE COUNTY ALMSHOUSE FARM AND
PROPERTY, TOGETHER WITH ANY FEDERAL OR
OTHER FUNDS WHICH MAY BE MADE AVAILABLE
FOR THIS PURPOSE. IN THE EVENT OF A VA-
CANCY IN THE MEMBERSHIP OF SAID COMMIS-
SION, SUCH VACANCY SHALL BE FILLED BY THE
APPOINTMENT OF ANOTHER PERSON BY THE
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF KENT COUNTY.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.

CHAPTER 167

(Senate Bill 103)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 1 to 31, inclusive, of Article
15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition) title "Kent County, " sub-title "Almshouse, "
said sections relating to the Trustees of the Poor and
the Almshouse in Kent County.

WHEREAS, the County Almshouse is no longer being
used and will be sold; thereby making these sections un-
necessary; now therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 1 to 31, inclusive, of Article 15 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition) title
"Kent County, " sub-title "Almshouse, " be and they are
hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.
