title "Bailiffs", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

11.

(b) Every court crier attending the Circuit Courts in the
counties in this State shall be entitled to the compensation
hereinafter prescribed for each day he shall attend said court,
except as otherwise herein provided.

(1) Criers in Charles County shall each receive Four Dollars
($4. 00) per day.

(2) Criers in Allegany, Caroline, Dorchester, Howard, Kent,
Prince George's, Washington and Worcester Counties shall
each receive Five Dollars ($5. 00) per day.

(3) Criers in Anne Arundel County shall each receive
Seventy-five Dollars ($75. 00) per month.

(4) Criers in Baltimore and Frederick Counties shall each
receive such compensation as the court of said counties shall
determine.

(5) Criers in Calvert County shall each receive One Hundred
and Twenty-five Dollars ($125. 00) per year.

(6) Criers in 'St. Mary's County shall each receive [One Hun-
dred and Twenty-five Dollars ($125. 00) per year] Six Dollars
per day.

(7) Criers in Carroll, Cecil, Montgomery, Talbot and Wi-
comico Counties shall each receive such compensation as the
County Commissioners of said counties shall determine.

(8) Criers in Garrett, Queen Anne's and Somerset Counties
shall each receive such compensation as the County Commis-
sioners shall prescribe but not exceeding Five Dollars ($5. 00)
per day.

(9) The several bailiffs and criers shall perform such duties
as may be prescribed by the several laws of the State and by the
local laws of their respective counties.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Sections 44 and 45
of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County", sub-title "Crier",
be and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.
