known as Section 59NA, to follow immediately after
Section 59N thereof and to be under the sub-title "To-
bacco"; to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 59P of said sub-title, establishing certain require-
ments for the sale of tobacco in several loose leaf THE
SEVERAL LOOSE LEAF AND HOGSHEAD markets
in this State and providing penalties for the sale of
tobacco from outside Maryland as Maryland tobacco.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
48 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition and
1947 Supplement), title "Inspections, " said new section
to be known as Section 59NA, to follow immediately after
Section 59N thereof and to be under the sub-title "Tobac-
co" and that Section 59P of said sub-title be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and
all to read as follows:

59NA-: The true name and address of the owner and/or

the seller of every basket or other container of tobacco de-

livered for sale at any loose leaf tobacco market in Mary-

land shall be legibly marked or stenciled or attached there
on. The name of the State in which the tobacco was grown

shall also be printed, stenciled or stamped in large capital

letters on every such container or sample and attached
thereto or thereon. Every such basket or other container

containing tobacco grown outside the State of Maryland
shall have affixed thereto a sales card of distinctive color
showing in legible markings the name of the State in

which the tobacco is grown. It shall be the duty of the pro-

prietor or manager of any such loose leaf or hogshead

not so marked or stenciled or labeled until the true name

of the owner and/or seller and the other information

required herein shall have been ascertained and placed
thereon.

59NA. THE TRUE NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE
OWNER AND/OR THE SELLER OF EVERY BASKET
OR SAMPLE OR OTHER CONTAINER OF TOBACCO
DELIVERED FOR SALE AT ANY LOOSE LEAF OR
HOGSHEAD TOBACCO MARKET IN THE STATE OF
MARYLAND SHALL BE MARKED OR STENCILED
OR ATTACHED THEREON. ANY TOBACCO GROWN
OUTSIDE OF THE STATE OF MARYLAND SHALL
HAVE ATTACHED TO THE CONTAINER OR SAM-
PLE THE NAME OF THE STATE IN WHICH IT WAS
GROWN, AND EVERY SALES TICKET, OR SAMPLE
