To the Cleric of the Court of Appeals:

I, VIVIAN V. SIMPSON, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 203
of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supple-
ment) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at the General Election held in
the State of Maryland on November 7, 1950, an Act known as
Chapter 88 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1950, was
submitted to the voters of Carroll County, for their adoption or
rejection, under the provisions of Article 16 of the Constitution
of the State, said Act being:

An Act making it lawful to hold or conduct carnivals,
bazaars, bingo and other games or raffles by certain or-
ganizations of Carroll County.

AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 7, 337 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 88 of the Acts of 1950, and
2, 923 votes were cast against the adoption of the said Act, and
a majority being cast in favor of the adoption of the said re-
ferred law, it has therefore been ratified by the voters of Car-
roll County.
