To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, VIVIAN V. SIMPSON, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 203
of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supple-
ment) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at the General Election held in
the State of Maryland, on November 7, 1950, an Act known as
Chapter 737 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1949, was
submitted to the voters of Frederick County, for their adoption
or rejection under the provisions of Article 16 of the Constitu-
tion of the State, said Act being:

An Act relating to trotting and pacing meetings in Fred-
erick County.

AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 6, 665 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 737 of the Acts of 1949,
and 7, 029 votes were cast against the adoption of the said Act,
and a majority being cast against the adoption of the said
referred law, it has therefore failed of ratification.
