To the Cleric of the Court of Appeals;

I, VIVIAN V. SIMPSON, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 203
of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supple-
ment) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at the General Election held in
the State of Maryland, on November 7, 1950, an Act known
as Chapter 144 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1949,
was submitted to the voters of the First Election District of
Anne Arundel County, for their adoption or rejection under
the provisions of Article 16 of the Constitution of the State,
said Act being:

An Act authorizing the exhibition of motion pictures on
Sunday in the First Election District of Anne Arundel
County.

AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 325 votes were cast in
favor of the adoption of Chapter 144 of the Acts of 1949, and
131 votes were cast against the adoption of the said Act, and
a majority being cast for the adoption of the said referred law,
it has therefore been ratified by the voters of the First Election
District of Anne Arundel County.
