THEODORE R. MCKELDIN, GOVERNOR 2087

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That Sep-
tember 17th of each and every year be observed as above set
forth, said day to be known as Constitution Day; and be it
further

Resolved, That the Governor of the State of Maryland shall,
by publication, announce yearly to the citizens of our noble
State that each and every September 17th shall be dedicated to
and shall be known as "Constitution Day"; and be it further

Resolved, That schools, banks, business and industry shall
not be closed on Constitution Day.

(House Joint Resolution 17)

House Joint Resolution requesting the Departments of Infor-
mation, Research and Education, and Tidewater Fisheries
to prepare educational bulletins concerning the fish and
fisheries in Maryland tidewater.

WHEREAS, the members of the General Assembly at each Ses-
sion are called upon to enact legislation concerning the several
species of tidewater fish in Maryland; and

WHEREAS, those members of the General Assembly who do
not have a first-hand familiarity with such matters and prob-
lems are frequently handicapped in their ability to judge the
problems and issues involved; and

WHEREAS, it would be of much assistance to all members of
the General Assembly and to the citizens of Maryland in gen-
eral if educational bulletins could be prepared on the life his-
tory of the several species of tidewater fish and on the problems
involved generally in tidewater areas; now therefore be it

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Departments of Information, Research and Education, and
