SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all of the members elected to each of the two Houses
of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 101
(House Bill 110)

AN ACT to add a new section to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Montgomery County (1947 Edition, being Article 16 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland and said section be-
ing Section 108. 2 in the Montgomery County Code of 1950),
title "Montgomery County", said new section to be under
the sub-title "Garrett Park" and to be added to the corpor-
ate charter of the town of Garrett Park, to be known as
Section 517A and to follow immediately after Section 517
thereof, adding a certain tract of land to the corporate limits
of the town of Garrett Park.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to the Code
of Public Local Laws of Montgomery County (1947 Edition,
being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
and said section being Section 108. 2 in the Montgomery County
Code of 1950), title "Montgomery County", said new section to
be under the sub-title "Garrett Park" and to be added to the
corporate charter of the town of Garrett Park, to be known
as Section 517A and to follow immediately after Section 517
thereof, and to read as follows:

511 A. In addition to the boundaries as described in Section
517 above, the following tract of land shall be included within
the corporate limits of said town, to be subject in all respects
to the provisions of this sub-title as if the boundaries of the
same were included within said Section 517:

All those lands on the easterly boundaries of said Garrett
Park as described in said Section 517, comprising Lots 23 to 26,
