The sixth ward shall consist of that portion of land con-
tained in the area starting at the intersection of Colesville
Road and Toledo Road (Bowen Place), thence northwesterly
along the centerline of Colesville Road to the intersection of
Colesville Road and Van Buren Street, thence east along the
centerline of Van Buren Street to the intersection of Van
Buren Street and Wells Parkway (Wells Boulevard), thence
south along the centerline of Wells Parkway to the intersection
of Wells Parkway and Toledo Road, thence west along the cen-
terline of Toledo Road to the beginning.

The seventh ward shall consist of that portion of land con-
tained in the area starting at the intersection of Colesville
Road and Van Buren Street, thence northwesterly along the
centerline of Colesville Road to Wells Parkway, thence south-
easterly along Wells Parkway and continuing along the South
71° 24' East line of the whole tract of University Park to the
centerline of College Heights Drive, thence southwesterly along
the centerline of College Heights Drive to the intersection of
College Heights Drive and Wells Parkway, thence north along
the centerline of Wells Parkway to the intersection of Wells
Parkway and Van Buren Street, thence west along the center-
line of Van Buren Street to the beginning.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 1362 of the
said Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

1362. The officers of said town shall consist of a Mayor,
[five] seven Councilmen, and a Treasurer, the Mayor and
Treasurer to be elected by the combined vote of the said town,
and the Councilmen to be elected by their respective wards,
[and such appointive officers as are hereinafter designated, or
shall be appointed by the Mayor and Common Council, ] and
such other officers as may be
appointed by the Mayor and Com-
mon Council,
and each officer appointed shall continue to hold
office for such terms as the Mayor and Common Council shall
designate, or until his successor is duly qualified. The Council-
man for the sixth ward shall be elected for a term of two years,
while the Councilman for the seventh ward shall be
elected for
a term of one year upon the approval of this amendment, and
thereafter the Councilman for the seventh ward shall be
elected
for a term of two years.
Before entering upon the duties of his
office, each officer shall take oath that he will diligently and
faithfully discharge all duties of his office without favor, par-
tiality or prejudice, and said oath shall be filed among the
records of said town.
