57-A. General supervision over licensing of persons en-
gaged in the business of selling solid fuel in Maryland, and
INCLUDING THE DETERMINATION OF THE FORM
OF APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF REGIS-
TRATION TO BE FILED WITH THE CLERK OF THE
COURT AND THE POWER TO HEAR COMPLAINTS
AND TO REVOKE ANY CERTIFICATE OF REGIS-
TRATION, AS WELL AS SUPERVISION OF persons
weighing solid fuel in connection with the issuance of
delivery tickets is hereby transferred from the Department
of Labor and Statistics to the Superintendent of Weights
and Measures. Whenever the words Department of Labor
and Statistics, CHIEF INSPECTOR OF LICENSES, OR
STATE LICENSE BUREAU appear in the sub-title, then
shall be substituted therefor the words Superintendent of
Weights and Measures. ALL PERSONNEL, EQUIP-
MENT AND RECORDS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF
LABOR AND INDUSTRY PLACED UNDER ITS SU-
PERVISION BY CHAPTER 39 OF THE ACTS OF 1950
ARE HEREBY TRANSFERRED SO AS TO BE UNDER
THE GENERAL SUPERVISION OF THE SUPERIN-
TENDENT OF WEIGHTS AND MEASURES. THE
FUNDS HERETOFORE OR HEREAFTER PROVIDED
IN THE BUDGET UNDER THE DEPARTMENT OF
LABOR AND INDUSTRY FOR THE PURPOSE OF
PAYING SALARIES AND EXPENSES IN CONNEC-
TION WITH ANY DUTIES AFFECTED BY THIS SEC-
TION ARE HEREBY TRANSFERRED TO THE MARY-
LAND STATE BOARD OF AGRICULTURE FOR THE
USE OF THE SUPERINTENDENT OF WEIGHTS AND
MEASURES.

SEC. 2. Separability Provision. —Be it further enacted
that if any provision of the THIS Act is declared unconsti-
tutional, or the applicability thereof to any person or cir-
cumstance is held invalid, the constitutionality of the re-
mainder of the Act and the applicability thereof to other
persons and circumstances shall not be affected thereby.

SEC. 3. Be it further enacted, That all Acts, or parts of
Acts, general, local, or special inconsistent with the pro-
visions of this Act, be and the same, are hereby repealed
to the extent of such inconsistency.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.
