CHAPTER 667
(Senate Bill 163)

AN ACT to, repeal and re-enact with amendments, Sec-
tions 201, Sub-sections (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), (g),
(j), (m), and (n) of Section 203, and Sections 205, 206,
208, 209 and 210 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 edition), title "Health", sub-title "Food
Products", and to add a new section to be known as Sec-
tion 208 A of the same article and sub-title, to follow im-
mediately after Section 208, to require the licensing of
frozen food processing plants by the State Board of
Health, to provide for appeals from the action of the
State Board of Health and to change the. penalties for
violations.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 201, Sub-sections (a), (b), (c), (d), (e),
(f), (g), (j), (m), and (n) of Section 203, and Sections
205, 206, 208, 209 and 210 of Article 43 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 edition), title "Health", sub-title
"Food Products", be and the same are hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as follows:

201. From and after April 16, 1914, all matters and
things relating to the sanitation of Factories, Canneries,
Bakeries, Confectioneries, Creameries, Milk Plants and
Distributing Dairies, Hotels and Restaurants or eating
houses, Packing and Slaughter Houses, Ice Cream Plants,
and other places where food products are manufactured,
packed, stored, deposited, collected, prepared, produced or
sold for any purpose whatever, and from and after June 1,
1951, all matters and things relating to the sanitation of
Frozen Food Processing Plans,
shall be under the super-
vision of the State Board of Health of Maryland, which
said State Board of Health, with its officers and such agents
as may be appointed by it, is hereby vested with power and
authority to. carry into effect the provisions hereof.

203. The said State Board of Health of Maryland and
its agents and inspectors in the discharge of their duties
under the provisions hereof and every person, firm, asso-
ciation or corporation engaged in the handling of food and
