rate common coll B. B. chains, the links of which shall not
be less than three-eighths (3/8) inch in diameter for loads
of three tons or less. All such loads in excess of three tons
shall be secured in like manner by chains as provided herein,
the links of which shall not be less than one-half (1/2) inch in
diameter. WIRE ROPE NOT LESS THAN FIVE-SIX-
TEENTHS OF AN INCH IN DIAMETER MAY BE USED
IN LIEU OF SUCH CHAINS. Such chains AND SUCH
WIRE ROPE shall bind both the vehicle and the load securely,
shall be fastened with a load binder of standard make and
SUCH CHAINS shall not be repaired or replaced by any
links or material other than the size, strength and material
specified herein.

Violation of this section shall be deemed to be a misde-
meanor, and upon conviction, shall be punishable by a fine of
One Dollar ($1. 00) to One Hundred Dollars ($100. 00) or by
imprisonment not to exceed one year or by both fine and im-
prisonment.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.

(House Bill 596)

AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 45 of Article 39
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Fish and Fisheries", sub-title "Further Regulations in
County Waters", said new sub-section to be known as Sub-
section (c) and to follow immediately after Sub-section (b)
of said Section 45, providing that no person shall haul a
seine for the catching or taking of fish north or east or in
shore from a line drawn from Benoni's Point to Chlora's
Point in Talbot County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added to Sec-
tion 45 of Article 39 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
