exchange or inter-insurer shall offer an alternative method or
plan for
dividend SAVINGS classifications, the policy or con-
tract shall contain an endorsement setting forth the class to
which it is assigned. Each such reciprocal exchange or inter-
insurer shall establish a procedure which makes reasonable
provision for notice to the policyholder or subscriber respect-
ing dividends declared
SAVINGS FIXED and payable under
his policy or contract.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.

(House Bill 553)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 66½ of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Motor Ve-
hicles, " sub-title "Operation of Vehicles Upon Highways, "
said new section to be known as Section 241A and to follow
immediately after Section 241, relating to vehicles transport-
ing logs, poles, lumber, pipe and steel.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
66½ of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supple-
ment), title "Motor Vehicles, " sub-title "Operation of Vehicles
Upon Highways, " said new section to be known as Section
241A and to follow immediately after Section 241 and to read
as follows:

241A. (Vehicles Transporting Logs, Poles, Lumber, Pipe,
Steel, etc. ) No vehicle used for the transportation of logs, poles,
unfinished or unfabricated lumber, pipe, steel, or other mate-
rials of like kind, size, shape or characteristic shall be operated
on any public road or street unless the load thereof is

TIRELY ENCLOSED WITHIN THE SIDES AND ENDS
OF THE BODY OF THE VEHICLE OR IS securely fastened
to the vehicle at both the front and the rear by two sepa-
