County to the sale of alcoholic beverages, not inconsistent with
the provisions of this section.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public health and safety, and hav-
ing been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all of the members elected to each of the two Houses
of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 591
(House Bill 683)

AN ACT to add a new section to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Baltimore County (1948 Edition), being Article 3 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore
County", said new section to be known as Section 412A, to
follow immediately after Section 412 thereof, to be under
"Title 27. Taxes and Tax Sales", and to be under the sub-
heading "Taxes", providing that no person, firm, association
or corporation keeping, maintaining or operating a claw
machine or pin ball machine or similar device within Balti-
more County shall permit any person under the age of 18
years to operate the same, UNLESS IT BE A PERSON
UNDER THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN YEARS WHO IS
ACCOMPANIED BY AT LEAST ONE OF HIS PARENTS.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to the Code
of Public Local Laws of Baltimore County (1948 Edition),
being Article 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Baltimore County", said new section to be known as Sec-
tion 412A, to follow immediately after Section 412 thereof, to
be under "Title 27. Taxes and Tax Sales", and to be under the
sub-heading "Taxes", and to read as follows:

412A. No person, firm, association or corporation keeping,
maintaining, or operating within Baltimore County a claw ma-
