County, $300; in St. Mary's County, $250; in Somerset Coun-
ty, $300; in Talbot County, $250; in Washington County,
$600; in Wicomico County, $400; in Worcester County, $300.
(B) Such salaries and any other expenses incurred by said
Supervisors under this Article, shall be paid by the County
Commissioners of their respective counties or by the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore City, as the case may be, in
such installments as the said County Commissioners or Mayor
and City Council may prescribe, and they shall receive no
other fees or compensation, except as hereinafter pro-
vided. Each substitute Supervisor appointed under Section
1 (b) of this Article shall receive a per diem compensation of
not less than Ten Dollars ($10) per day for each day actually
served by him, to be fixed by the County Commissioners of the
respective counties or the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more City, as the case may be.
(G) In Wicomico County the Clerk of the Board of Super-
visors of Elections provided for in this Article shall receive
an annual salary of $400, and the said Supervisors of Elections
shall have the power to employ an attorney, who shall be a
member of the Bar of Wicomico County and who shall also be
the attorney for the Judges of Elections, and such attorney
shall receive an annual salary of $400; the salaries of said Clerk
and said Attorney to be paid in equal quarterly installments
by the County Commissioners of Wicomico County; provided,
however, that in the event of special elections or special serv-
ices rendered the said County Commissioners shall, at the
request and recommendation of the Supervisors of Elections,
allow such additional compensation as they may deem com-
mensurate with such special services rendered.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.
