WHEREAS, on February 25, 1950, said Commission submitted
its report defining the boundaries of the areas proposed to be
annexed, subject to referendum, and making recommendation
with respect to the division of the City of Annapolis into
wards in the event said annexation were approved; and
WHEREAS, at an election held on May 23, 1950, the annexa-
tion of the areas defined in said report of the Annapolis
Annexation Charter Commission were approved by a majority
of the voters in said areas; and
WHEREAS, thereafter in a case entitled Clatanoff vs. Mayor
and Aldermen of Annapolis, the Circuit Court of Anne Arundel
County, by order dated July 5, 1950, ruled that such annexa-
tion was valid but that its effective date was January 1, 1951;
and
WHEREAS, it is now desirable and in the public interest
that the Public Local Laws of Anne Arundel County should
be amended so as to reflect such annexation and the changes
in the boundaries and organization of the City of Annapolis
resulting therefrom; now, therefore

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL AS-
SEMBLY OF MARYLAND, THAT SECTIONS 1 AND 5 OF
THE ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY CODE (1947 EDITION),
BEING ARTICLE 2 OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL
LAWS OF MARYLAND, TITLE "ANNE ARUNDEL COUN-
TY", SUB-TITLE "ANNAPOLIS", BE AND THEY ARE
HEREBY REPEALED AND RE-ENACTED, WITH AMEND-
MENTS, TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
1. [ a ] The boundaries of the City of Annapolis shall be as
follows: [Beginning for the same at the corner formed by the
intersection of the southwest face of the wall of the United
States Naval Academy with the southeast face of the bulkhead
at the eastern terminus of King George Street, the coordinates
of said point of beginning being North 22261. 57 feet East
