AN ACT TO REPEAL AND RE ENACT, WITH AMEND-
MENTS, SECTION 1, 5 AND 274A(F) OF THE ANNE
ARUNDEL COUNTY CODE (1947 EDITION), BEING
ARTICLE 2 OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS
OF MARYLAND, TITLE "ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY",
SUBTITLE "ANNAPOLIS", SECTION 274A(F) HAV-
ING BEEN ENACTED BY CHAPTER 106 OF 1950, PRE-
SCRIBING THE NEW BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF
ANNAPOLIS AND TO MAKE THE BOUNDARIES OF
THE SIXTH ELECTION DISTRICT OF ANNE ARUN-
DEL COUNTY CONFORM TO THE NEW BOUNDARIES
OF THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS, INCREASING THE
NUMBER OF WARDS IN THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS
AND RELATING TO THE NOMINATION, QUALIFICA-
TIONS AND SALARIES OF THE MAYOR AND ALDER-
MEN OF THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS.

WHEREAS, by Chapter 696 of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, passed at its January Session in the year
1949, the Annapolis Annexation Charter Commission was
created for the purpose of determining whether certain areas
contiguous to the City of Annapolis should be annexed
