shall have posted in one or more public places in each vot-
ing precinct an accurate sample copy of the ballot to be
used in the next election.

CONDUCT OF ELECTIONS

66. For all primary, special, and regular city elections
the polls shall remain open from 8: 00 A. M. to 8: 00 P. M.
As soon as the polls have closed following any primary,
special or regular city election, the judges of elections
shall proceed to count the votes cast and shall report the re-
sults of the count to the Board of Supervisors of Elections
before 12: 00 noon on the Thursday next following the
election.

CHALLENGERS AND WATCHERS

67. Any political party or any candidate whose name
appears on the ballot and/or voting machine in any pri-
mary, special, or regular city election shall have the right
to designate and keep one challenger and watcher at every
polling place in such a position that he can see every person
as he presents himself to vote. Any challenger and watcher
may challenge any person's qualifications to vote. The right
of any person so challenged to vote shall be decided by a
majority of the judges of elections assigned to the polling
places after hearing, under oath, the facts which may en-
title the person so challenged to vote.

BOARD OF CANVASSERS

68. The Board of Supervisors of Elections shall act
as a board of canvassers for all primary, special, and
regular city elections. At some time between the hours of
12: 00 noon and 1: 00 P. M. on the Thursday next follow-
ing the election, the board of canvassers shall convene and
proceed to canvass the returns of the judges of elections
from the several voting precincts of the city. The results
of the canvass shall be certified by the board of canvassers
to the city register and collector of taxes and to the board
of aldermen, which shall have the results entered in its
minutes. The city register and collector of taxes shall
issue certificates of election to the candidates who, based
on the results announced by the board of canvassers, have
been elected to office in any city election.

SPECIAL ELECTIONS

69. All primary and special city elections shall be con-
ducted by the Board of Supervisors of Elections in the
