(Senate Bill 42)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
134 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1947 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages, " sub-
title "Boards of License Commissioners, " authorizing
the State Appeal Board to appoint a secretary, and pre-
scribing his compensation.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 134 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages, "
sub-title "Boards of License Commissioners, " be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
134. State Appeal Board, (a) The State Appeal Board
shall comprise three citizens of the State to be appointed
by the Comptroller, subject to the approval of the Gov-
ernor. The Comptroller shall designate one of said mem-
bers to be chairman of the Board, who shall receive a
salary of twenty-five hundred dollars ($2, 500) per annum.
Each of the other two members shall receive a salary of
eighteen hundred dollars ($1, 800) per annum. The Board
