poration must receive the approval of the County Commis-
sioners and the Prince George's County Volunteer Firemen's
Association, Incorporated jointly.
(c). Before the County Commissioners shall be required
to pay the aforesaid sum of money to the said Fire Associa-
tion, the Commissioners shall have the power to require the
officers of said Association to appear before them and show
to the satisfaction of said Commissioners that all sums of
money paid by the said Commissioners to the said Association
under this sub-title have been expended for the purposes set
forth in this sub-title, and also that all member companies
are active fire fighting or rescue squad organizations with
equipment in proper working order. Provided, however, that
no fire company nor rescue squad not now in existence and/or
of record as of December 31, 1948, may be organized in Prince
George's County without the approval of the Prince George's
County Volunteer Firemen's Association, Incorporated and
the Board of County Commissioners of the County, jointly.
(d. ) The County Commissioners of Prince George's County
shall not levy any sum for or contribute to the support of
any Volunteer Fire Company unless the Volunteer Fire Com-
pany is inspected and approved by the Prince George's County
Volunteer Firemen's Association, Incorporated, yearly as to
the minimum standards requirements. The minimum stand-
ards requirements for equipment shall be approved and
adopted by the Prince George's County Volunteer Firemen's
Association, Incorporated. The County Commissioners shall
not levy any sum for or contribute to the support of any Vol-
unteer Fire Company unless the same has been organized with
the approval of and on the recommendation of the Prince
George's County Volunteer Firemen's Association, Incor-
porated.
605. The Treasurer of Prince George's County Volunteer
Firemen's Association shall give bond to the County Commis-
sioners of Prince George's County in the penal sum of [Forty-
seven] Forty-eight Thousand Six Hundred Dollars [($47, -
600. 00)] ($48, 600. 00) for the faithful performance of his
duties hereunder.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.
