of $100. 00 per year, except the substitute magistrate appointed
for Baltimore County, who shall receive $1, 000. 00 per year in
addition to the compensation received when actually sitting
as a substitute as hereinafter provided, and except the sub-
stitute magistrate appointed for Kent County, who shall re-
ceive Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00) per year in addition
to the compensation received when actually sitting as a sub-
stitute, as hereinafter provided, and except the substitute
magistrate appointed for Prince George's County, who shall
receive $1, 300. 00 per year, in addition to the compensation re-
ceived when actually sitting as a substitute as hereinafter
provided [. ] and except the substitute magistrate appointed
from Montgomery County, who shall receive $600. 00 per year,
in addition to the compensation received when actually sitting
as a substitute as hereafter provided, AND EXCEPT THE
SUBSTITUTE MAGISTRATE APPOINTED FOR CECIL
COUNTY, WHO SHALL RECEIVE $300. 00 PER YEAR IN
ADDITION TO THE COMPENSATION RECEIVED WHEN
ACTUALLY SITTING AS A SUBSTITUTE, AS HEREIN-
AFTER PROVIDED. And in Wicomico County said substi-
tute trial magistrate shall receive a salary of $800. 00 per year.
Sec 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.
SEC. 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT THIS
ACT IS HEREBY DECLARED TO BE AN EMERGENCY
MEASURE AND NECESSARY FOR THE IMMEDIATE
PRESERVATION OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH AND
SAFETY, AND HAVING BEEN PASSED BY A YEA AND
NAY VOTE, SUPPORTED BY THREE-FIFTHS OF ALL
OF THE MEMBERS ELECTED TO EACH OF THE TWO
HOUSES OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARY-
LAND, THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT FROM THE
DATE OF ITS PASSAGE.
