prescribed by said Trial Magistrate. Each of said deputy
sheriffs so assigned to said Trial Magistrate courts shall re-
ceive an annual salary of Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1, 500. 00)
payable by the County Commissioners of the said county
in equal monthly installments, and, in addition, each of the
three aforesaid deputy sheriffs shall be paid by the County
Commissioners an annual sum of Three Hundred Dollars
($300. 00) in equal monthly installments as compensation
for transportation expenses in performing their duties. ]
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
110 (a) of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1947 Supplement), title "Justices of the Peace", sub-title
"Trial Magistrates System", said section having been amend
ed by Chapters 470 and 752 of the Acts of 1949, relating to
the compensation of the substitute Trial Magistrate in
Montgomery County. THE COMPENSATION OF THE
SUBSTITUTE TRIAL MAGISTRATES IN CECIL AND
MONTGOMERY COUNTIES.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 110 (a) of Article 52 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Justices of the Peace",
sub-title "Trial Magistrates System", said section having been
amended by Chapters 470 and 752 of the Acts of 1949, be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
110. (Substitute Magistrates. ) (a) In addition to the Jus-
tices of the Peace and Justices of the Peace at Large herein-
before specified, the Governor, by and with the advice and con
sent of the Senate, shall appoint one Justice of the Peace at
Large for each county of the State who shall be designated
"Substitute Trial Magistrate. " Such magistrate shall post the
bond required of Trial Magistrates and shall receive a salary
